Senecio viscosus หรือที่เรียกกันทั่วไปว่า Sticky Groundsel เป็นพืชล้มลุกที่มีอายุปีเดียวในวงศ์ Asteraceae พบกระจายพันธุ์อยู่ในหลายพื้นที่ของแคนาดา เช่น Newfoundland, Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, Saskatchewan, Saint Pierre and Miquelon รวมถึงในประเทศต่าง ๆ เช่น รัสเซีย, ไอร์แลนด์, เบลเยียม, ฝรั่งเศส, เนเธอร์แลนด์, ประเทศอังกฤษ, นอร์เวย์ และเบลารุส พืชชนิดนี้ถูกตีพิมพ์ครั้งแรกในปี ค.ศ. 1753 โดย L.
Description
Senecio viscosus เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของสกุล Senecio ซึ่งมีลักษณะเป็นพืชล้มลุกที่มีน้ำยางเหนียว พบได้ในหลายชื่อท้องถิ่น เช่น sticky ragwort, sticky groundsel หรือ stinking groundsel แม้ว่า Alexander จะกล่าวถึงตัวอย่างที่ 996.19 (LINN) แต่ไม่ได้กำหนดให้เป็นตัวอย่างประเภท ชื่อนี้ยังคงใช้ตามหลักการของลินเนียสที่ตีพิมพ์ครั้งแรกเมื่อปี ค.ศ. 1753
