Description
Parodia herteri เป็นกระบองเพชรที่พบเฉพาะในพื้นที่ภาคใต้ของบราซิลและอูรุกวัย อยู่ในสกุล Parodia ซึ่งมีลักษณะเด่นของกระบองเพชรทั่วไป ได้รับการตั้งชื่อเพื่อเป็นเกียรติแก่นักพฤกษศาสตร์ Wilhelm Herter ชื่อวิทยาศาสตร์เดิมคือ Echinocactus herteri ที่ตีพิมพ์ในปี ค.ศ. 1936 โดย Erich Werdermann และในปี ค.ศ. 1987 ได้รับการจัดเข้าสู่สกุล Parodia โดย Nigel Paul Taylor
