Nepenthes northiana หรือ Pitcher plant เป็นพืชกินแมลงชนิดหนึ่งในวงศ์ Nepenthaceae พบเฉพาะในเกาะบอร์เนียว ที่ระดับความสูง 0-500 เมตรเหนือระดับน้ำทะเล ชื่อวิทยาศาสตร์นี้ถูกตั้งเพื่อเป็นเกียรติแก่นักวาดภาพพฤกษศาสตร์ชาวอังกฤษ Marianne North ซึ่งเป็นผู้วาดภาพชนิดนี้เป็นครั้งแรก
Description
Nepenthes northiana ถูกค้นพบในช่วงทศวรรษที่สองของคริสต์ศตวรรษที่ 19 และมีส่วนช่วยให้ Sarawak เป็นที่รู้จักในฐานะดินแดนที่เต็มไปด้วยพืชพรรณแปลกใหม่ที่น่าทึ่ง ชื่อวิทยาศาสตร์นี้ตั้งโดย Hook.f. และถูกตีพิมพ์ในปี ค.ศ. 1881
