Druce คือพืชกินแมลงในวงศ์ Nepenthaceae พบได้ทั่วโลกในหลายพื้นที่ เช่น บอร์เนียว กัมพูชา หมู่เกาะคารอลีน ภาคใต้ของจีน ฮาวาน จาวา ลาว หมู่เกาะสุลาเวซีและสุลาเวซีเล็ก มะลายา มาลุกู เมียนมา นิวไกีนี ฟิลิปปินส์ ควีนส์แลนด์ ซูลาเวซี ซูมาตรา ไทย และเวียดนาม พืชชนิดนี้มีชื่อสามัญว่า tropical pitcherplant
Description
Nepenthes mirabilis คือพืชกินแมลงที่มีลักษณะเด่นคือใบพิเศษที่มีรูปร่างเป็นภาชนะสำหรับดักจับแมลง มีการกระจายตัวกว้างขวางในหลายภูมิภาคของเอเชีย พบได้ในสภาพแวดล้อมที่หลากหลาย ตั้งแต่พื้นที่ชื้นไปจนถึงพื้นที่ป่าเขตร้อน มีการตั้งชื่อวิทยาศาสตร์ในปี ค.ศ. 1916 โดย Druce ซึ่งปรับปรุงชื่อจากงานของ Lour. ชื่อสามัญของพืชชนิดนี้คือ tropical pitcherplant และ common swamp pitcher-plant
