Description
Myriophyllum aquaticum เป็นพืชใบเลี้ยงคู่ที่มีระบบรากและลำต้นสามารถเจริญเติบโตในน้ำได้ดี มักพบในแหล่งน้ำจืดทั่วไป ชื่อสามัญอื่นที่ใช้เรียกคือ parrot feather watermilfoil ซึ่งชื่อเรียกนี้สะท้อนลักษณะใบของมันที่คล้ายขนนก ต้นพืชชนิดนี้มีการกระจายพันธุ์กว้างขวางในหลายประเทศทั่วโลก โดยเฉพาะในภูมิภาค Neotropical และยุโรป ได้รับการตีพิมพ์ทางวิชาการเมื่อปี ค.ศ. 1973
