Lagarosiphon major (Ridl.) Moss หรือ African-elodea เป็นพืชน้ำจืดที่พบในแอฟริกาใต้ มักใช้เป็นไม้ประดับในอควาเรียม มีชื่อสามัญอื่น ๆ ได้แก่ curly waterweed, oxygen weed และ South African oxygen weed
Description
Lagarosiphon major อยู่ในวงศ์ Hydrocharitaceae กระจายพันธุ์ในภูมิภาค Afrotropical และประเทศต่าง ๆ เช่น เบลเยียม ฝรั่งเศส เนเธอร์แลนด์ ไอร์แลนด์ อิตาลี สวิตเซอร์แลนด์ ฯลฯ พบบันทึกครั้งแรกในปี ค.ศ. 1928 มีลักษณะเป็นพืชน้ำจืดที่สามารถเจริญเติบโตได้ดีในน้ำจืด จึงมักถูกนำมาใช้ในอควาเรียม
