Cryptolepis oblongifolia หรือชื่อท้องถิ่นว่า red-stemmed milk rope เป็นพืชล้มลุกหลายลำต้นในวงศ์ Apocynaceae มีถิ่นกำเนิดในพื้นที่ชื้นและพื้นที่มีความชื้นปานกลางของแอฟริกาใต้ พบได้ในพื้นที่ที่มีหิน ทุ่งหญ้า หรือพื้นที่ริมแม่น้ำ ตั้งแต่แอฟริกาใต้จนถึงแซมเบีย มีความสูงประมาณ 1 เมตร มีลำต้นสีน้ำตาลแดง ใบออกสลับกันอย่างกว้าง ดอกสีเหลืองหรือเหลืองแดงออกเป็นช่อในซอกใบ

Schltr. เป็นพืชในวงศ์ Apocynaceae พบได้ในหลายประเทศในแอฟริกา เช่น แองโกลา เบนิน บอตสวานา บูร์กินา บูรูนดี แคเมอรูน แคริบี สหรัฐแอฟริกากลาง ชัด คองโก ฟรีสเตต การ์บอน แกมเบีย กาณา คิวบาร์กีนี ไอวอรี่โคสต์ เคนยา ควาซูลูนัตอล มาลาวี และอื่น ๆ มีลักษณะเป็นพืชล้มลุกหลายลำต้น ใบออกตรงข้ามกัน ดอกสีเหลืองหรือเหลืองแดงออกเป็นช่อในซอกใบ พบในพื้นที่ที่มีหิน ทุ่งหญ้า หรือพื้นที่ริมแม่น้ำ
