Description
Cassytha pubescens เป็นพืชพันธุ์วินัยที่มีลักษณะเป็นพืชกึ่งพึ่งพากลาง (hemiparasitic) ใบมีขนาดเล็กลงจนกลายเป็นสเกล ส่วนการสังเคราะห์แสงเกิดขึ้นผ่านคลอโรฟิลล์ในลำต้น ลำต้นมีเส้นผ่านศูนย์กลางระหว่าง 0.5 มม. ถึง 1.5 มม. และมีโครงสร้างสำหรับดูดซับสารอาหาร (haustoria) ยาวประมาณ 2 ถึง 3 มม. พืชชนิดนี้พบได้ทั่วไปในพื้นที่ทางตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ของออสเตรเลีย
