Polypodium cambricum

Polypodium cambricum is a species of fern in the Polypodiaceae family, found in regions like southern Europe, the Mediterranean, and parts of the Atlantic coast. It is a spreading, deciduous plant that thrives on shaded rocky areas. The plant can grow up to 60 cm tall, with pinnate fronds. The sori, which are the spore-producing structures, are yellow during the winter months. The species was initially rejected by some botanists due to its origin from a monstrosity, but it is now considered valid under the Leningrad Code (1975). The name has been accepted again by later authors, as reviewed by Pichi Sermolli in 1986. It is also known by the common names limestone polypody and Welsh polypody.
