Nepenthes monticola는 2011년에新西뉴기니아 서부 중앙 고원의 여러 산맥에서 기술된 열대 페트리디움 식물이다. 해발 1,400~2,620m에서 자라며, 기술되기 전까지는 밀접한 관련종인 N. lamii와 동일시되었다.
Description
Nepenthes monticola는 Nepenthaceae과에 속하는 식물로,新西뉴기니아 서부 중앙 고원의 산맥에서 발견된다. 이 식물은 해발 1,400~2,620m의 고도에서 자라며, 2011년에 독립된 종으로 기술되기 전까지는 N. lamii와 혼동되어 분류되었다. 이 종은 A.S.Rob., Wistuba, Nerz, M.Mansur, S.McPherson에 의해 발표되었다.
