프로엘리키아 플로리다나(Froelichia floridana)는 아마란타스케이(Amaranthaceae)에 속하는 일년생 식물로, 풀잎이 좁고 타원형이며 백색 털이 있는 꽃을 만든다. 미국 중부와 동부, 멕시코 지역에서 자라며, 호주에서는 침입종으로 간주된다.
Description
이 식물은 풀꽃이 밀집된 꽃대를 형성하며, 줄기는 최대 1000mm까지 자랄 수 있다. 잎은 줄기 하부 1/3에 대생하며, 좁은 역포엽형에서 타원형까지 다양하다. 미국 알라바마, 플로리다, 조지아, 텍사스 등지에서 자라며, 농업에서 잡초로 간주된다. 1849년에 발표된 이 종은 풀 이름으로 '프레리 코튼위드', '플로리다 스네이크코튼' 등으로 불린다.
