Description
Cryptolepis oblongifolia는 줄기가 여러 개 있는 관목으로, 높이는 약 1m이다. 줄기는 붉은 갈색이며, 잎은 대생하며 넓게 간격을 두고 자라며, 꽃은 겨드랑이에 군집 형태로 피는 것이 특징이다. 꽃은 노란색에서 붉은 노란색까지 다양한 색상을 나타낸다. 이 식물은 남아프리카 지역의 습지와 중간 수분 지역에서 자라며, 바위가 있는 초원, 초원 숲, 강가 식생 등에서 발견된다. 분포 지역은 남아프리카에서 짐바브웨에 이르기까지 넓게 퍼져 있으며, 1896년에 발표되었다.
