Commelina communis
Commelina communis L.
Commelina communis는 Commelinaceae 과에 속하는 일년생 초본 식물로, 아시아 일대에서 원산지이다. 한쪽에 두 개의 큰 파란색 꽃잎과 하나의 작은 흰색 꽃잎이 특징이며, 하루 만에 피고 진다. 중국에서는 '야지초', 일본에서는 '츠유쿠사'라고 불린다. 유럽과 북미 일부 지역으로 유입되어 해양성 식물로 자리 잡았다.
Description
이 식물은 중국, 일본, 한국 등 동아시아와 동남아시아 북부에서 자생하며, 습지나 토양이 흐트러진 곳에서 흔히 볼 수 있다. 여름에서 가을 사이에 꽃이 피며, 꽃은 하루만 피는 것으로 알려져 있다. Commelina communis는 유럽과 북미 일부 지역으로 도입된 이후 잡초로 확산되었다. 이 식물은 두 개의 큰 파란색 꽃잎과 하나의 작은 흰색 꽃잎으로 쉽게 식별할 수 있다.
