Antidesma ghaesembilla는 1788년에 Gaertn.에 의해 발표된 Phyllanthaceae 과의 식물이다. 분포 지역은 GY, 안달만 제도, 아삼, 방글라데시, 비スマ르크 제도, 보르네오, 캄보디아, 중국 중남부, 중국 동남부, 동 히말라야, 하이난, 인도, 자바, 라오스, 소순다 제도, 말라야, 말루쿠, 미얀마, 네팔 등이다. 이 식물은 습지에서 자라며, 다양한 생태계에 서식한다. 열매는 달콤하고, 여러 문화에서 음식과 의식, 의약 등 다양한 용도로 사용된다.
