Description
Glossostigma cleistanthum は、水中では葉が0.5～2.5インチ長く、ほぼ葉柄のない対生葉を持ち、閉花の自己受粉花をつける。水面に出た際には葉が0.2～0.5インチと小さくなり、短い茎に昆虫媒介の花をつける。この種はオーストラリア、ニュージーランド、インド、東アフリカなどに分布し、Phrymaceae 科の一年草や多年草の仲間である。
