セントラリア・モンタナ（Centaurea montana）はキク科の多年草で、ヨーロッパ原産の植物です。南ヨーロッパの山地で広く見られ、北では希少です。庭園から逃げ出してイギリス諸島、スカンジナヴィア、北アメリカにも広がり、カナダのブリティッシュコロンビア州では外来種として問題となっています。

Description

セントラリア・モンタナは、高さ30〜70cmで、5月から8月にかけて花を咲かせます。草原や開けた木立の中に生育し、アルプス帯や亜高山帯の石灰質の地域で見られます。ヨーロッパ南部の山地に自生する一方で、北ヨーロッパや北アメリカなどでは外来種として定着しています。
