Sphaeranthus africanus L., de la famille des Astéracées, est une plante originaire de la zone afrotropicale et de l'Oriental (Indomalaya), notamment en Inde, en Chine, en Indonésie, au Vietnam et au Kenya. Il a été décrit pour la première fois en 1763.
Description
Sphaeranthus africanus L. est un membre de la famille des Astéracées, largement répandu dans les régions tropicales d'Asie et d'Afrique. On le trouve notamment en Inde, en Chine du Sud-Central et du Sud-Est, à Hainan, en Indonésie, au Vietnam, à Madagascar, au Timor-Leste et au Kenya. Cette plante a été officiellement publiée en 1763. Elle est également présente dans les îles Andaman, au Bangladesh, au Cambodge, à Bornéo, à Java et dans d'autres localités. Son aire de répartition s'étend sur plusieurs continents, ce qui en fait une espèce cosmopolite.
