Podophyllum hexandrum Royle
Podophyllum hexandrum, décrit par Royle en 1834, est une plante herbacée pérenne de la famille des Berberidaceae. Elle est originaire d'Afghanistan, du Bhoutan, de l'Inde du Nord, du Cachemire, du Népal, du Pakistan et de la Chine de l'Ouest. Son nom commun en anglais est Himalayan mayapple.
Description
Podophyllum hexandrum est une espèce endémique des régions himalayennes. Cette plante appartient au genre Podophyllum et se caractérise par sa croissance herbacée et pérenne. Elle préfère les environnements montagneux et ombragés. Bien que souvent appelée Himalayan mayapple ou Indian mayapple, elle est principalement reconnue pour sa valeur botanique et écologique dans sa région native.
