Elle est présente dans des endroits comme le Groenland, la Nouvelle-Écosse, l'Alberta, la Finlande, la Suisse, la Russie, la Bulgarie, la République tchèque, et d'autres régions. Cette espèce est aussi connue en anglais sous le nom de 'Cotton Burdock'.
