Zygogynum howeanum is a plant species in the family Winteraceae, found exclusively on Lord Howe Island in the Tasman Sea. The species name honors the locality where it was identified.

Description

Zygogynum howeanum (F.Muell.) Vink is a member of the Winteraceae family and is native to Lord Howe Island, a subtropical region in the Tasman Sea. It is known by the common names hotbark or hot bark. The species was formally described in 1985 and is restricted to the geographic area of Norfolk Island. The specific epithet 'howeanum' is derived from the locality associated with the species.
