Zephyranthes carinata, commonly called the rosepink zephyr lily or pink rain lily, is a perennial flowering plant native to Mexico, Colombia, and Central America. It has been widely cultivated and naturalized in various regions including the West Indies, Peru, Argentina, Brazil, the southeastern United States, China, South Africa, and several island groups.

Description

Zephyranthes carinata belongs to the Amaryllidaceae family and is part of the Zephyranthes genus. It is a flowering plant that has been reported in a wide range of locations such as Texas to Florida in the U.S., as well as in parts of South America, Africa, and Asia. The species was first published in 1825 by Herb. It is commonly grown as an ornamental plant and has become naturalized in many regions outside its native range.
