Description

Zamia obliqua, described by A.Braun in 1875, is a cycad species belonging to the Zamiaceae family. It is found in regions such as Parque Nacional Natural Utría, Antioquia, Chocó, Valle, and the Cerro Mecana area in the municipio Bahía Solano, Chocó, Colombia, as well as in Panamá. Its natural habitat consists of subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests. Due to deforestation and land conversion, the species faces significant threats from habitat loss, which has led to its vulnerable status in the wild.
