Yucca jaliscensis is a species of Yucca native to the highlands of southwestern Mexico. It is found in the mountainous regions of the states of Jalisco, Colima, and Guanajuato, typically at elevations around 5000 feet. Common names for this species include Jalisco Yucca, Jalisco Soapwort, and Izote Yucca.

Description

Yucca jaliscensis belongs to the genus Yucca and the family Asparagaceae. It was first described and published in 1920. The species is distributed globally but is native to the highlands of Mexico, specifically in the regions of Mexico Northeast and Mexico Southwest. It is adapted to high-altitude environments and is found in mountainous areas, where it thrives in the specific ecological conditions of the region.
