This plant is native to several regions in Africa, including Cameroon, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zaïre, and the Gulf of Guinea Islands, as well as the South African provinces of Free State and KwaZulu-Natal.
