Corylopsis sinensis, known as winter hazel, is a deciduous shrub in the Hamamelidaceae family. Native to western China, it grows up to 4 m tall and broad. This species features ovate leaves and produces fragrant, pale yellow flowers with orange anthers in spring.

Description

Corylopsis sinensis, described by Hemsl. in 1906, is a member of the Hamamelidaceae family. It is native to South-Central and Southeast China, as well as Tibet. This shrub can reach a height and spread of 4 m. It has ovate leaves and displays delicately fragrant, drooping racemes of pale yellow flowers with orange anthers during the spring season.
