Vigna vexillata (L.) A.Rich., known as wild cowpea, is a perennial climbing plant in the Fabaceae family. It is native to tropical regions across multiple continents, including parts of South America, Africa, and Asia, as well as islands like Hawaii and the Andaman Islands. The species is also found in several regions of Colombia, such as Parque Nacional Natural Tayrona and Amazonas. It was first described in 1845.

Description
