Wikstroemia nutans is a member of the Thymelaeaceae family and is found in the regions of Southeast China, including Fujian, Guangxi, Hainan, Hunan, Jiangxi, and Guangdong, as well as in Taiwan and Vietnam. This shrub was formally published in 1853 by Benth., with the original material attributed to Champ.
