Wikstroemia canescens is a species in the genus Wikstroemia, belonging to the family Thymelaeaceae. It was first described in 1841 by Meisn.

Description

Wikstroemia canescens is a plant species found in several regions of South and Southeast Asia. Its distribution includes Afghanistan, Assam, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Tibet, and the West Himalaya. This species is part of the Thymelaeaceae family, a group of flowering plants commonly known as the daphne family. The genus Wikstroemia comprises a number of shrubs and small trees, often characterized by their leathery leaves and small, inconspicuous flowers. Wikstroemia canescens was first published in 1841 by the botanist Meisn.
