Stemodia verticillata (Mill.) Hassl., commonly known as whorled twintip, is a species in the Plantaginaceae family. It is widely distributed across regions including Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, Bolivia, Belize, Cameroon, and the Galápagos Islands, among others. The species was first described in 1909.

Description

Stemodia verticillata is a member of the Plantaginaceae family, a group of flowering plants commonly known as the plantain family. This species is native to a broad range of regions, including Brazil (Northeast, North, Southeast, South, and West-Central), Colombia (in areas such as Antioquia, Bolívar, and Valle), Argentina (Northeast and Northwest), as well as parts of Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Africa. It has also been recorded in the Galápagos Islands and the Amazonas region. The species was first published in 1909.
