Trichocladus ellipticus is a member of the genus Trichocladus within the Hamamelidaceae family. It is commonly referred to as White Witch-hazel. This species is distributed across several regions including Angola, Cape Provinces, Ethiopia, Kenya, KwaZulu-Natal, Malawi, Mozambique, Northern Provinces, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zaïre, and Zimbabwe.
