Euthamia occidentalis, known as western fragrant goldenrod, is a flowering plant in the Asteraceae family. It is also referred to by the common names western flat topped goldenrod, western goldentop, and western goldenrod. The species was first described in 1840 by Nutt.

Description

Euthamia occidentalis is native to western North America. Its distribution includes regions such as British Columbia, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Mexico Northwest, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. This plant is part of the genus Euthamia and is characterized by its flat-topped inflorescence and aromatic qualities. It is commonly found in a range of habitats across its geographic range.
