Werauhia williamsii is a terrestrial bromeliad in the family Bromeliaceae, native to the montane forests of Costa Rica and western Panama. It was first described in 1995 by J.R. Grant, based on earlier work by L.B. Smith.

Description

Werauhia williamsii is a species of flowering plant in the genus Werauhia. It is found in the montane forests of Costa Rica and western Panama. As a terrestrial bromeliad, it grows in soil rather than on trees. The species was formally described in 1995 by J.R. Grant, building on the original work of L.B. Smith. It is part of the Bromeliaceae family, a group of plants commonly known as bromeliads.
