Weinmannia trichosperma, known as tineo, is an evergreen tree in the Cunoniaceae family. It is native to Chile and Argentina, specifically between 35° and 47°S, and is endemic to laurel forest ecosystems.

Description

Weinmannia trichosperma is a member of the Cunoniaceae family and is native to southern South America, occurring in Chile and Argentina. Its distribution is limited to regions between 35° and 47°S, where it is found in laurel forest habitats. The species was first described in 1801 by the botanist Cav. and belongs to the genus Weinmannia.
