Weeping Sagewood
Buddleja auriculata Benth.

Buddleja auriculata is an evergreen shrub native to Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and South Africa. It is found in montane fields and thickets at elevations between 600 and 2,000 meters. The species was first collected in 1813 and formally described by Bentham in 1836. It received the Royal Horticultural Society Award of Merit in 1923.
Description
Buddleja auriculata belongs to the genus Buddleja in the family Scrophulariaceae. It is commonly known as Weeping Sagewood. The plant is endemic to regions including the Cape Provinces, Free State, KwaZulu-Natal, Northern Provinces, Swaziland, and parts of Mozambique and Zimbabwe. Its introduction to western cultivation remains undocumented, but its horticultural value was recognized with the Royal Horticultural Society Award of Merit in 1923.
