Trichoglottis australiensis, known as the weeping cherub orchid, is an epiphytic or lithophytic orchid in the Orchidaceae family. It is native to tropical North Queensland and was described by Dockrill in 1967.

Description

Trichoglottis australiensis is a clump-forming orchid with thick, cord-like roots and flattened, branching stems. It features numerous thick, leathery, glossy leaves and produces two to six creamy yellow flowers with reddish blotches. This species is epiphytic or lithophytic and is found only in tropical North Queensland.
