Protea punctata, known as Water Sugarbush, is a shrub native to South Africa and part of the Proteaceae family. It was first described in 1856 by Meisn.

Description

Protea punctata is a species of shrub in the Proteaceae family, commonly called Water Sugarbush. It is native to the Cape Provinces of South Africa and is part of the Protea genus. The species was first published in 1856 by Meisn. It is found growing in the wild in this region and is one of the many Protea species native to southern Africa.
