Juglans jamaicensis, known as the West Indian walnut, is a species in the Juglandaceae family. It is native to the Greater Antilles and is commonly referred to as Walnut in English.

Description

Juglans jamaicensis, also called nogal or palo de nuez, is a species of walnut found in the Greater Antilles. It belongs to the Juglandaceae family and was first described in 1864. The species is distributed across Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, and Puerto Rico. Commonly called Walnut in English, it is part of the global distribution of the Juglans genus.
