Description

Cyanea lobata is a member of the bellflower family, Campanulaceae, and is native to the Hawaiian Islands. It is found specifically on the islands of Lanai and Maui. The species was first published in 1867 by H. Mann. In Hawaiian, it is referred to as 'hāhā' along with other species in the Cyanea genus. Due to its limited distribution and threats to its habitat, it is classified as an endangered species under federal law.
