Desmanthus velutinus, known as velvet bundle-flower, is a flowering plant in the Fabaceae family. It is native to New Mexico, Texas, and Coahuila, with possible occurrence in Oklahoma.

Description

Desmanthus velutinus is a member of the Fabaceae (legume) family and belongs to the genus Desmanthus. It is commonly referred to as velvet bundle-flower. The species is native to the U.S. states of New Mexico and Texas, as well as the Mexican state of Coahuila. It may also be found in Oklahoma. The plant was first described in 1848 by Scheele.
