Vantanea compacta

Vantanea compacta is a member of the Humiriaceae, a family of flowering plants primarily found in tropical regions. The species is distributed across Brazil in the Northeast, Southeast, and South regions, as well as in Bolivia. It was formally described in 1961 by Cuatrec., who reclassified material originally documented by Schnizl. The genus Vantanea is known for its tropical tree species, and Vantanea compacta is one of the recognized members of this group. Its distribution is limited to the specified regions within South America, where it is part of the local flora.
