Ulmus chenmoui W. C. Cheng is a small deciduous tree native to the Langya Shan and Baohua Shan mountains in Anhui and Jiangsu provinces, China. It grows at elevations below 200 m and is part of the Ulmaceae family. The species was first introduced to the West in 1979 when seeds were sent to the De Dorschkamp research institute in the Netherlands.

Description

Ulmus chenmoui is a member of the genus Ulmus and is found in the temperate regions of eastern China. It is a small tree that is endemic to the Langya Shan and Baohua Shan mountain ranges. The species was not known outside of China until 1979, when seeds were sent from Beijing to the Netherlands for research. It belongs to the Ulmaceae family, a group of flowering plants that includes elms and zelkovas.
