Ulmus boissieri is a species of elm in the Ulmaceae family, native to Iran. It was described by Grudzinskaya in 1977, based on a specimen originally collected in 1859 in Kerman Province and later described by Boissier. The species is found in the provinces of Kermanshah and Kerman, as well as in the Zagros forests.

Description

Ulmus boissieri is a tree species native to Iran, primarily found in the provinces of Kermanshah and Kerman, as well as the Zagros forests. It grows in association with other tree species such as Quercus brantii, Celtis australis, Platanus orientalis, Fraxinus sp., and Cerasus mahaleb. The species was first described by Grudzinskaya in 1977, based on a specimen collected in Kerman Province in 1859 and later described by Boissier in his Flora Orientalis (1879). Grudzinskaya named the species in honor of Boissier, considering his specimen as the type.
