Tulipa sprengeri, known as Sprenger's tulip, is a wild tulip native to the Pontic coast of Turkey. It is considered rare and possibly extinct in the wild but is cultivated as an ornamental plant.

Description

Tulipa sprengeri belongs to the genus Tulipa in the family Liliaceae. It was described by Baker and published in 1894. This species is native to Turkey and is now likely extinct in the wild. Despite this, it is grown in cultivation for its ornamental value.
