Protea intonsa, known as the Tufted Sugarbush, is a flowering plant in the Proteaceae family. It is native to South Africa, specifically found in the eastern Swartberg and Kammanassie Mountains, as well as the Baviaanskloof mountains. The species was described in 1971 by Rourke.

Description

Protea intonsa is a species of the genus Protea, part of the Proteaceae family. It is endemic to South Africa, with a distribution range that includes the eastern Swartberg and Kammanassie Mountains and extends to the Baviaanskloof mountains. The plant is known in Afrikaans as klossie-suikerbos. It was first described and published in 1971 by Rourke.
