Trichostigma peruvianum (Moq.) H.Walter is a flowering plant in the family Petiveriaceae, native to Ecuador, Colombia, and Peru. Previously classified in the family Phytolaccaceae, it was formally described in 1909.

Description

Trichostigma peruvianum belongs to the genus Trichostigma within the family Petiveriaceae. It is found in the regions of Caquetá, Colombia, as well as in Ecuador and Peru. The species was initially placed in the family Phytolaccaceae but has since been reclassified. The scientific name was published in 1909 by H.Walter, based on earlier work by Moq.
