Tribulus platypterus, known as the cork hopbush, is a flowering plant in the Zygophyllaceae family. It is native to the northwest of Western Australia and is closely related to Tribulus suberosus.

Description

Tribulus platypterus is a member of the Zygophyllaceae family and is found in the northwest region of Western Australia. It was first described in 1863 by Benth. This species is closely related to Tribulus suberosus. The plant is part of the genus Tribulus, which includes several species adapted to arid environments.
