Torilis africana

Torilis africana is a member of the Apiaceae family, a group of flowering plants commonly known as the carrot or parsley family. It is native to various regions across Europe, Africa, and parts of Asia. Its distribution includes areas such as the Flemish Region, Afghanistan, Algeria, Angola, Bulgaria, California, Cameroon, the Canary Islands, the Cape Provinces, Cyprus, Djibouti, the East Aegean Islands, Eritrea, Ethiopia, France, Greece, Iran, Iraq, and Italy. First published in 1815 by Spreng, this species is part of the genus Torilis, which includes several herbaceous plants characterized by their umbellate inflorescences and aromatic properties.
