Carthamus dentatus, known as toothed thistle, is a species in the Asteraceae family. It was first described by Vahl in 1790. This plant is native to regions including Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Turkey, and parts of the Middle East, as well as being found in Australia and Yugoslavia.

Description

Carthamus dentatus is a member of the daisy or sunflower family, Asteraceae. It is distributed across several countries in Europe, the Middle East, and parts of Australia. The species is found in areas such as Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Turkey, Iraq, Lebanon-Syria, and on the East Aegean Islands. In Australia, it occurs in New South Wales and Victoria. The species was first published in 1790 by the botanist Vahl.
