Tinospora crispa (L.) Hook.f. & Thomson is a species in the Menispermaceae family, native to regions across Southeast Asia and the Indian subcontinent. It was published in 1855.

Description

Tinospora crispa is a member of the Menispermaceae family and is found in a range that includes SG, MS, TW, Assam, Bangladesh, Cambodia, China South-Central, Christmas I., East Himalaya, India, Jawa, Laos, Leeward Is., Lesser Sunda Is., Malaya, Myanmar, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam. The species was described in 1855 by Hook.f. & Thomson. A discussion in Chapter 7 of Linnaean Plant Names and their Types (part M) references Merrill's comments from 1917, which discuss the plant but do not resolve the selection of a type specimen.
