Tiliacora acuminata is a woody climbing shrub or liana native to the Indian Subcontinent and Indo-China, including countries such as India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal, Vietnam, and the West Himalayas. It thrives in wet tropical biomes and can grow up to 5–8 meters in height.

Description

This species has ovate to lance-shaped, hairless leaves, with larger leaves typically found on male plants. Its flowers are small and yellow, arranged in axillary, stalked racemose cymes. The plant produces oblong-ovoid to obovoid drupes as fruit. It is also known as Tapering-Leaf Tiliacora and belongs to the Menispermaceae family.
